In brief
I am a technical AI consultant, engineering lead, lecturer, and researcher based in Beirut. Most of my work starts when teams need sharper technical judgment: what is worth building, where the system is likely to fail, how it should be evaluated, and how to turn an AI initiative into a defensible plan.
My academic training includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and a Master’s in Software Engineering.
What I am known for
- Designing AI systems that can withstand operational and organizational constraints
- Converting broad AI ambition into concrete architecture, evaluation, and delivery plans
- Bringing research discipline into production-facing technical decisions
- Teaching advanced AI topics with technical depth and practical clarity
Current roles
- AI Engineering Lead at EDT&Partners
- Lecturer at the American University of Beirut
- Expert Contributor at O’Reilly
- Independent technical AI consultant
Selected proof
- Advised on more than 10 AI technical due diligence projects for investors and operators
- Led AI initiatives in collaboration with AWS across consulting, delivery, and education programs
- Previously led AI at Assentify, including an eKYC platform serving about 20,000 daily requests across 10 countries
- Designed and taught AI programs across universities, workshops, O’Reilly, Educative, and community initiatives
Research and teaching interests
My recent interests include agentic systems, graph-based AI, LLM evaluation, reasoning workflows, efficient inference, and AI for education and health. I am especially interested in how knowledge, structure, and retrieval interact in modern AI systems, and in the gap between what looks convincing in a demo and what still works under technical and operational constraints.
